Join us in NYC August 2nd and immerse yourself in the world of Tanztheater, where dance, theater, and emotional storytelling collide. Guided by Tanztheater Wuppertal company member Stephanie Troyak, this workshop offers a deep dive into Pina Bausch’s iconic repertory, including Rite of Spring, Arien, and more. Participants will explore Bausch’s signature movement language, incorporating gesture, ritual, repetition, and theatrical improvisation. Through repertory, creative tasks, and exercises inspired by Tanztheater Wuppertal, dancers gain insight into Bausch’s artistic process while developing full-body storytelling and emotional expression. Hosted in collaboration with the Pina Bausch Foundation, this workshop provides a rare opportunity to engage with Bausch’s legacy in an intimate and immersive setting. The experience typically concludes with an informal sharing, discussion, or review, fostering individuality and collective creative exploration.
