WHO WE ARE
Springboard Danse is a not-for-profit contemporary dance organization that centers career development and cultivates connections between professional dancers, choreographers, and companies. For 24 years, Springboard was deeply rooted within the vibrant community of Montréal and made its United States debut in partnership with Point Park University in 2025. Since the organization’s inception in 2001, Springboard has directly connected more than 900 dancers to paid jobs and countless choreographers to paid commissions.
MISSION & VALUES
Through thoughtful programming and community events, Springboard strives to support the future of contemporary dance. Guided by our core values of integrity, creativity, equity, diversity, and inclusion, we are committed to our dynamic ecosystem of international artists. We aspire to be internationally recognized for facilitating professional relationships, employment opportunities, and mentorship.
OUR COMMITMENT TO ARTISTS
Aligned with Springboard's values, we aim to break down financial barriers to entry. Historically, Springboard has annually awarded $39,000 - $42,000 USD in scholarships for our Summer Project, addressing expressed financial need. We strive to further support our community of dancers by offering free auditions in the future.
Over our 25-year history, we have not received support from public or foundational funding bodies in the U.S. or Canada. We are actively seeking connections with new donors and foundational grants to achieve our evolutionary goals. If you would like to donate or partner with Springboard, please visit our Support page.
